What to Do After Your Treatment
After your appointment, you may return to most normal daily activities right away. To help your treatment settle correctly and achieve the best results, we recommend the following:
Remain upright for at least 4 hours following treatment
Gently use facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, or raising your eyebrows
Keep the treated area clean and untouched
Resume normal, non-strenuous activities the same day
Apply ice gently if mild swelling or tenderness occurs
Most patients experience minimal downtime and feel comfortable returning to work or social activities immediately.
Important Precautions to Follow
To prevent unwanted spread of the product and reduce the risk of bruising, please avoid the following for at least 24 hours unless otherwise directed by your provider:
Strenuous exercise or heavy sweating
Alcohol consumption
Touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas
Facial treatments, facials, massages, or exfoliation
Lying flat or sleeping on treated areas during the first several hours
Excessive heat exposure, including saunas, hot tubs, and direct sun
These precautions allow the wrinkle relaxer to settle precisely where it was placed for optimal effectiveness.
When to Seek Medical Attention
Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at injection sites is normal and typically resolves within a few days. However, contact your provider immediately if you experience:
Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing
Significant muscle weakness outside the treated area
Vision changes
Unusual or worsening symptoms
Although rare, these symptoms require prompt medical evaluation.
